Maruti launched the facelifted Dzire in March. The facelift featured Maruti’s BS6-compliant 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine along with some cosmetic upgrades, while the diesel engine was discontinued. The sedan sibling to the Swift hatchback, the facelifted Dzire saw a modest increase in prices from its predecessor, ranging from Rs 6,000 to Rs 16,000.
The Maruti Dzire, one of Maruti’s best-selling cars, is priced from Rs 5.89 lakh to Rs 8.81 lakh. The BS4 Dzire was at one point India’s best-selling car.
maruti swift dzire review:-
With more power and performance on hand and the promise of better fuel economy, there's been a significant upgrade. Otherwise, the Dzire is much the same from behind the wheel. The steering does feel like it has a bit more weight, which is nice, and the suspension feels like it has been stiffened marginally, but apart from that, the new car remains a stable but un-involving drive.
There are no significant changes to the cabin. And this isn't necessarily a bad thing. For one, levels of comfort at the front and the rear seats are high, even when compared to most rivals. There's plenty of space up front, and the Dzire's long 2,450mm wheelbase means there's loads of legroom in the rear as well. Two tall passengers, in fact, can comfortably sit one behind the other. In addition, the back seat is supportive and nicely reclined, and since there's a vent at the rear, it makes for a very competent chauffeur-driven car; quite impressive for a compact sedan.
At the front, there are some small updates, but these have more to do the kit on offer. While the car we drove was a VXi, the ZXi gets Maruti's uprated and much neater SmartPlay Studio interface, a new colour MID in between the dials, and cruise control as well.
The front face of the Dzire features a large blacked-out grille, which has a minor resemblance to that on Ford Aspire, and is surrounded by a thin chrome strip. It features a new swept-back headlamp unit housing the projector headlamp, which gives a premium feel. The bumper sports large air in-take. The design is more curvaceous with a new clamshell bonnet and thick chrome garnishing around the grille and fog lamp housing.
First, the 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels that get some fantastic design and secondly, the curvy and the flowing lines on the body shell which makes the Dzire look proportionate.
The wide hips and wheel arches make the rear of the Dzire looks mature. The large horizontal chrome strip at the rear and LED tail-light flows well with the overall design.

That aside, the flat-bottom steering wheel, with its leather and faux wood insert still looks good, the dials are crisp and clear, and even the bits of wood trim on the dash are nicely done. Some of the plastics could have been more solidly built, and the car is missing some kit like wireless charging, but, overall, the cabin is a very comfortable place to be.
Maruti Swift Dzire has fiddled a lot with the interiors to offer maximum pleasure, comfort and space. The overall layout is pleasant and more driver focused.
The steering wheel is new and gets a flat bottom with faux wood. The instrument cluster looks good and appropriate fonts have been used to make it reading-friendly. The combination of black and beige in the interiors, gives a better sense of space.
The most important design change for this Maruti Swift Dzire, is the new driver-centric center console - which is slightly tilted towards the driver (like Volvos), so that the controls can be operated with ease. Maruti has used generous amount of faux wood on the dashboard and on the front doors. The wood does improve the overall look and feel and because of its matte finish, the wood doesn't feel cheap. The seats are quite comfortable and supportive.
This new Dzire has a longer wheel base, and as a result, leg-room has improved at the back, but the head-room is still tight for taller occupants. There are AC vents and a 12V power socket at the back. The boot has also grown in size and is practically shaped too. Also there are 6 cup holders and 4 bottle holders, which is really good for a car if this size.
